Christopher Wilson

Hi, I go by Chris or Christopher. I was introduced to Psanctuary in 2023 from a good friend from Psychedelics in Recovery (PiR) a 12-step recovery fellowship that I entered the end of 2022. I had already been previously working with mushrooms. A trusted friend from college facilitated my first journey in 2009. I was skeptical to mess up my faith being raised in Catholic and Christian communities when I read up on Erowid that it could elicit and mystical/spiritual experience. Little did I know that was Spirit calling out to me and that I would later drop judgement and be released from religious trauma.

Then mushrooms appeared briefly in my life again once in 2011. Then again in 2019 into 2020.  Then in late 2021 I began a relationship with cultivating the sacrament. Once I heard of Psanctuary and checked out a couple Sunday services, I knew I had found my tribe.

Not only does this community work with sacred mushrooms in a way I am beyond impressed with but it doesn't stop there. The deeper all-encompassing spiritual work being taken on by our members is changing the world and bringing about opportunity for healing at a micro and macro level.Now as an ordained minister and certified cultivator, I hope to contribute, similar to my commitment to PiR, in holding space for others to connect with Spirit directly and in the words of 12-step: seek through spiritual practice to improve our conscious contact with a Power greater than ourselves, asking only for knowledge of this Power's will for us and the ability to carry that out & having had a spiritual awakening as the result of this, carry this message to others seeking recovery and to practice the principles of Spirit in all areas of our lives.
