I’m Alana (Ah-Lay-Na) – or as I like to say, “Alana the Mainah” – a lifelong seeker, nature lover, forager, and sailor of Maine’s open seas. Though I grew up in a traditional church, my spirituality took me down different paths, and I’d been out of church for about a decade when I discovered Psanctuary. It reignited my faith in Source (God), and I found a community of kindred spirits who share a reverence for the Divine through the mushroom, honoring a personal and profound connection with the sacred. I’ve also made amazing new friends and had a lot of fun along the way!
Recently, I completed my certification as a holistic coach, allowing me to guide others on their healing paths. I felt called to support those seeking spiritual growth, especially through integrative mushroom practices. I wholeheartedly believe psychedelics are part of the future of spirituality and will likely become essential in many faith traditions.
Mushrooms have been profound teachers and healers for me, helping me work through trauma and supporting my journey with ADHD, PMDD, anxiety, and depression. For me, the mushroom acts as a powerful teacher, connecting us to the divine within ourselves, making transformative experiences even more accessible and meaningful. Since becoming an ordained minister, I have held space in ceremony for dozens of people and wish to continue doing so, especially as more people go through the training program and can sit with me to support our family and friends.
At Psanctuary, I am here to use all my gifts, from my holistic coaching background to a couple of decades in design, marketing, and the corporate world. My ordination has deepened my commitment to helping others connect with their inner wisdom, explore transformative practices, and find joy along their unique paths. My vision is to empower those I work with, offering tools that nurture growth, healing, and a more joyful life—whether through friendship, coaching or the sacred potential of mushrooms.
